How do you know when something is wrong? What can you do about it?
LeapThru software helps with remote caregiving –
a great addition to a medical alert system
"Mom has a medical alert pendant, but we did not know that she pressed it. The service did not have many details about her circumstances..."
“They didn’t tell us where she was at the time or what had happened that day. LeapThru provides a lot of that detail. And we could BreakThru too!”
Keeping up-to-date with LeapThru Care Alerts, Medical Alerts & Notifications for the family & care team.
Whether a loved one is highly independent or requires more regular assistance, Care Alerts are a great way to lightly keep tabs on potentially brewing issues and more serious events. LeapThru can monitor for different kinds of situations and can also monitor for certain early indications of possible future problems. In those situations, LeapThru can automatically send Care Alerts to permissioned family and other care team members. Here are just a few examples…
"Knowing we can be alerted for possible issues brings peace-of-mind."
“We use LeapThru to make sure our dad is safe and sound at home every night – and if not, we get alerted.
If something just doesn’t seem right- like if he’s not as active as he usually is or not very engaged, we get alerted.”
Setting up LeapThru is as simple as registering and downloading the application onto your smartphone. If you want, customize for your situation.
LeapThru is being offered to the public for a limited time for free.*
* Retail value = $180 per year. Free for 1 year license.
How does LeapThru know?
LeapThru integrates data from smartphones and other sources to put together the big picture.
LeapThru software runs on a loved one’s smartphone (Android or iPhone) and, optionally, other connected devices, like a smartwatch, blood pressure cuff or medical alert system.
LeapThru then uses device sensor readings and user interactions to help monitor how a loved one is doing as they go about their day. The smartphone (and optionally smartwatch) are also used to engage with a loved one through LeapThru customizable, automated check-ins and reminders. Setup is as simple as registering and downloading the app. Click here to start!
Understand the big picture. See what was going on at the time of an issue and in the hours or days leading up.
LeapThru helps paint a picture of a situation. See more information about a loved one’s current situation, how they have been throughout the day or even how things may have changed over the past week or months. Has their level of activity maintained or gone down? For someone dealing with pain, an injury or perhaps a chronic condition – how have their symptoms changed over time? With LeapThru, you can more easily track and manage those issues. LeapThru’s LeapConnect Portal has a number of different views for displaying information to help you make sense of what’s going on. Here are a few:
"We had no idea where mom was."
“No one had seen her all day… not the front desk… not her friends. I was ready to get on a plane!”
Want to know what’s happening now? LeapThru’s Dashboard gives the most current information about a loved one’s location, activity level, medications, engagement, battery status on their smartphone (and connected smartwatch or other devices) as well as other relevant info. It shows the latest unresolved care alerts and upcoming activities and events.
Want to see what has been happening during the day? LeapThru’s Timeline helps show a loved one’s whereabouts, related events and their level of activity during that time – grouped together into time period chunks. Other helpful information – such as sensor-based information (like heart heart) as well as any responses to check-ins or reminders – are also woven into the picture.
Want to see changes over time? LeapThru’s Adherence view helps compare results over a period of time – to see patterns or changes throughout the day, weeks or even months.
We take guarding your information very seriously. Your information is private and protected.
"At Thanksgiving, dad didn't seem quite himself."
“It had been some months since we last saw him and we didn’t have a sense of how he really was doing. We weren’t sure how to keep a closer eye on him.”
Need to drill into the data?
LeapThru not only paints the picture by putting information together, but also lets you drill into specific data, if needed. Here are a few examples…
Don’t just see… Act.

Create custom, automated check-ins to help keep tabs on particular issues and notify you of specific answers or concerning responses. Integrated communication for handling issues
When acting on an alert, those family or other members of a Care Team can automatically be notified to make it easier to coordinate and keep everyone up-to-date. You can control which care team members should be notified for certain issues.
"It saved me time and energy keeping the family updated."
“And those updates were linked with the event itself, so we had a record of it, which we could go back to.”

BreakThru™ in emergencies to a loved one’s smartphone
Specially permissioned family or caregivers can cause the care recipient’s phone to automatically answer a BreakThru™ call with the speakerphone enabled and the camera turned on.
As well, family or caregivers can remotely switch between the care recipient’s front and back video cameras – also available with LeapThru® video calls. A BreakThru™ call rings the care recipient’s phone like a phone call but a red display will show along with a count down timer to indicate the phone will auto answer if the person does not actively pick up or hang up the call.
"Just having the ability to BreakThru greatly puts my mind at ease."
“Knowing I can get through to her phone makes me feel better.”
Remotely keeping tabs and helping with everyday caregiving
Remotely manage a loved one’s calendar. Setup General Reminders that will alert their smartphone (and connected smartwatch) at the right time. Keep tabs on whether they arrive somewhere. Check-in on their overall wellbeing or particular issues with custom, automated Wellness Checks. Manage their Medical Profile to share with the LeapThru Care Team, medical providers and possible urgent responders. Manage medications & Medication Reminders for both taking meds and for refilling them.
"A simple, non-intrusive way to keep a pulse on things."
“We use a 1 question morning wellness check-in – Do you need help with anything today?”
Your loved one’s calendar is available on their phone and can be managed by permissioned family and care team members on the LeapConnect Web Portal and Care app.
Setup a reminder or event type from the LeapConnect Web Portal and it will automatically sync to the care recipient’s smartphone and connected smartwatch.
Reminders, check-ins and other alerts will pop-up on the care recipient’s smartphone (and connected smartwatch) at the selected time(s).
Check-in automatically to touch base or look after issues
Custom wellness checks pop-up on the care recipient’s smartphone or connected watch and make it easy to respond. They are a great way to:
> Allow the care recipient to indicate a need for assistance
> Monitor level of pain, discomfort, or chronic symptoms over time
> Provide to-do tasks, such as to complete related to exercises, therapy or chronic programs
Concerning responses can be setup to notify permissioned care team members.
This is an example of setting up a custom wellness check on the LeapConnect Web Portal. With Wellness Checks, you can ask one or more questions. Set the type of response (a rating scale, yes/no buttons or open text). Select which responses are the ones you want to be notified about.

Smart Medicine Reminders to help a loved one stay on track.
A medical profile for sharing among the care team and urgent responders.
LeapThru pools together all the medications being taken at one time into a singular reminder. These special Medicine Reminders also expire after several hours to help prevent misuse. Use the LeapConnect Web Portal to remotely manage medications along with a loved one’s general medical profile – which can then be shared among the care team. The medical profile syncs to the loved one’s smartphone and can be made available for urgent responders.
"Eight medicines, some of which are on different days; some once a week. This helps him take the right meds at the right times."
"Helpful for keeping everyone on the care team updated."
“I can just pull up the care profile and share with a doctor or therapist.”
